Access Statement
Milebrook house is on the A4113, 2 miles outside Knighton.
Guests can be picked up from and returned to Knighton railway station or Offa's Dyke Centre with prior notice.
Milebrook House has a gravel drive and private car park with a small step up to the porch and another small step through the front door.
Once through the doorway there are no steps on the ground floor of the hotel. The sitting room, bar and dining room are all on the first floor. There is a slight ramp in the dining room. Many of the ground floor rooms have rugs, the bar and part of the dining room and some of the corridors have fitted carpets.
There is one unisex toilet downstairs, this is too small to access with a wheelchair.
There are two ground floor bedrooms, a twin room which has is category 3. Both ground floor rooms have a shower over bath.
Access to the 6 bedrooms in the older part of the hotel is via a curved, carpeted stair case.
Access to the 4 bedrooms in the newer part of the house is via a straight, carpeted stair case.
All bedrooms have remote controlled TV's with Freesat tea making facilities, hairdryers and bedside telephones.
All bathrooms have shower over bath.
All bedrooms are non smoking.
Wireless internet access is available on the ground floor in public areas.
Mobile phone reception is patchy, Vodafone and Orange get best reception.
Music is played in the dining room and bar but can be turned down on request.
Menus can be printed in large print on request.
Guests are welcome to enjoy our gardens. There is access at the side of the house via a ramp to the terrace where there are tables and chairs in the summer months. You can also access the terrace from the dining room, there is one small step onto the terrace. There is a ramp to the first lawn area from the terrace, the lawn is on a slope. There are stone, brick and gravel steps and paths throughout the garden. The croquet lawn is accessed via a slight slope. Benches and seating can be found around the garden. There is a gazebo at the bottom of the garden accessed by gravel and uneven brick paths. The wildlife pond is down stone steps and the pathway is uneven.
